Bottom line — bots suck when it comes to self-serve. Anyone who don’t mind doing the legwork and all the heavy lifting associated with self-serve activities will continue using apps. Bots only make sense for those of us who are too busy, or too annoyed to be bothered dicking around with self-serve. When I go to the supermarket, I’ll always choose the full serve lineup, even if the self-serve cash register is immediately available and the regular checkout lineup is huge. I just detest to be put in a situation where I’m expected to pay for the privilege to serve myself.
