I sometimes get paid for an article I wrote and offered to some publishing house to publish. It would be unfair from my side to then ask for extra compensation when my content gets consumed, because I was already paid for my work.
This intellectual property bullshit has got to stop. The internet is a public forum, and anything published on it is a fair game. To those who don't like to freely share their thoughts, the message should be -- don't publish those precious thoughts.
