I remember hearing the exact same objections 15 years ago when the web was about to become a channel for commerce. Naysayers were convinced that online shopping and ordering will be wrought with security and other insurmountable problems. Fast forward to the present day, and we see that bricks and mortar retail is dying a horrible death. Same will happen to the current browser and app based online commerce.
