The advantage of the first (or shall we say zero) generation bots is that they’re much closer to the surface than apps are. That’s the main reason why they’re taking the world by the storm.

To put things in perspective, this morning I wanted to check my Instagram feed only to learn that the app on my phone has been rendered non-functional. According to the message Instagram displayed on my phone screen, I am to quit the app, go to the app store, find new version of Instagram, download it and configure it. Well, that’s what I call a ‘broken model’. This is something that is never going to happen with a bot, and that’s why bots are replacing apps.
